Experian is a well-known and often used source for credit reports. Searching Experian’s web site database is free. Experian provides numerous types of reports, from very basic company information to more complete. Credit reports on individual consumers are available as well.

Credit.net's credit ratings are based on algorythms rather than submitted data, as are the previous companies. They describe themselves as the “ideal source” for information on small businesses.
Accurint, owned by LexisNexis, provides data to a wide range of companies seeking public information. Accurint's powerful database combines data from over 400 sources. Using proprietary algorithms, the databases are searched and analyzed in seconds, producing results almost immediately. Small factors will utilize Accurint for quickly searching UCCs, liens, bankruptcies, and assets of prospective clients.
